30 Day Idol Challenge 18 ~Favorite Concert~

The eighteenth day of the 30 Day Idol Challenge is your favorite idol concert.  Ah, yes!  Another easy no-brainer.

This has been my favorite concert for years.  It was the first and best I’ve ever seen.  I own the DVD of it and sadly, I watch it quite frequently.  It got me into idols and Hello! Project.  If you read my last post, you probably know exactly what concert this is by now.  It’s…

Hello! Project 2006 Summer ~Wonderful Hearts Land~

The only thing to dislike about this concert is the large amount of MC’s, but it was Konkon’s and Makoto’s graduation concert.  I cry every single time I watch the messages to and from them from the other members of Morning Musume.  Graduations always suck.

The setlist is literally flawless.  Almost all of the songs in this concert are my favorite Hello! Project songs.  I loved the lineup of all the groups at the time.  I can’t even complain about Koharu because I actually really enjoyed her first couple solo singles.  GakiKame got a duet, which was fangasmic.  It had all of the best singles from each group and one-shot, and BOOGIE TRAIN 03 FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

“Ookini Machibata Kara” and “Special Generation” were performed with guard-esque flags, which are hard to move around, so it was impressive.  The concert happened right after Aibon’s scandal, so she wasn’t in it, but Tsujiji was and W was not forgotten.  In fact, the bonus features on the DVD have Tsujiji performing Gocchin’s “Uwasa na Sexy Guy.”  Drool.

Seriously, there is not a single flaw in this concert.  Which cannot be said for any other idol concert I have ever come across.  It is amazing.  If you haven’t seen it, you need it in your life.
